Cleveland

The city also has some unique areas to explore, including the Historic Gateway District, which has seen ongoing restoration, and the Historic Warehouse District showcasing some of the city's interesting old architecture.

Cincinnati

Cincinnati is one of Ohio's largest cities and home to several important cultural institutions and interesting sites. In the summer Fountain Square becomes an outdoor gathering point for locals and visitors. Year-round attractions include the numerous museums and galleries, and the lovely gardens of the Krohn Conservatory.

Dayton

Dayton is an important city in the history of flight. It was home of the Wright brothers today it hosts the impressive Air Force Museum and the Aviation Heritage Park. This is the oldest and largest museum of military aviation, with over 200 aircraft and missiles including a Wright Flyer and the Apollo 15 spacecraft. Near here is a monument to the Wright brothers. In Carillon Historic Park are reproductions of the Wright brothers' bicycle factory, one of their aircraft, and the covered wagons and log cabins of the early settlers. In the Old Courthouse in Dayton are numerous relics and documents on the Wright brothers.

Popular Festivals and Events

Pumpkin Festival, Circleville, OH The Circleville Pumpkin Show features all things pumpkin. Pumpkin beer, pumpkin pasties, pumpkin pies, and more. About 300 vendors of food, games and crafts are present at the event. An astonishing 23,000 pies are sold over the course of the four-day event. Country Apple Festival, Lebanon, OH The country apple festival vendors are 100 percent from within a 30-mile radius and feature homemade crafts and apple dishes. If you're in the mood for candied apples, apple wine, and apple pies, come to Lebanon in September for a delicious treat. Winterfest, Bowling Green, OH Winterfest in Bowling Green is the best way to enjoy yourself during those cold seasons. For several days in February, you can check out ice sculptures, go ice skating, take a ride on a horse-drawn carriage, or just have yourself a cup of hot chocolate to stay warm.
