Aptly nicknamed ‘the Park City’ for its elaborate public park system, Bridgeport is a city in the US State of Connecticut. The Barnum Museum has an extensive collection related to the highlights of the eminent 19th century showman PT Barnum’s professional career and how the city has unfolded ever since its inception in 1821. It is housed in a three-story building pertaining to Byzantine to Romanesque architectural styles. Its walls are engraved with some of the salient events related to American history like Native American cultures, Christopher Columbus, George Washington and Civil War. Some other attractions here are a 1000-square foot miniature handmade replica of a circus using 3000 miniature figures and a 2500-year old Egyptian mummy.
