The State Capitol

The State Capitol was constructed around the 1860s. It is built in a neo Classical architectural style. Several rooms of the building have been dedicated to the State Capitol Museum. Displayed in the museum are various portraits, artworks, and antiques. California State Railroad Museum

The California State Railroad Museum is among the world's largest railway museums. It is situated in the Old Sacramento. The museum is one of the most visited attractions in the city. Housed within are restored locomotives and railway coaches of all ages. Some of the cars here are furnished with dining place settings, showcasing the level of comfort which was offered on these trains. During the summers the museum also offers train rides on a steam locomotive along the Sacramento River.

California Automobile Museum

The California Automobile Museum was set up around the year 1987. The museum has a collection of Ford cars. At least one model from each year 1903-53 is available here. Also displayed here are classic vehicles describing the story about the development of the automobiles in America. All the exhibits displayed here range from late 1800s to the early 2000s.
