What's There To Do In New York, New York?

New York has a litany of locations to visit that will light up your night. Consider starting off the day with a visit to the Statue of Liberty with her huddled masses yearning to breathe free. From there, Ellis Island is only a short boat ride away where you can experience the Great Hall the ancestors of almost half of today's U.S. citizens passed through on their way to a new life.

Hungry? Consider visiting one of New York City's food trucks or delicious restaurants on your way back from Ellis Island. Walk the Brooklyn Bridge, enjoy a stroll through Central Park, or go shopping in Times Square. End the night with a Broadway Show and you'll never want to leave.

Getting Around New York City

New York City is a big place and there's only so much parking. It's for this reason that so many New Yorkers get around by foot, bus, or subway. In fact, NYC has the highest rate of public transportation compared to any other U.S. city. Need to fly? NYC is home to two of the most famous U.S. airports: the John F. Kennedy International Airport and the LaGuardia Airport. JFK international Airport is located in Queens and is just 15 miles away from midtown Manhattan. When you choose to use this airport, you won't have to worry about hailing a cab. JFK offers an Airtrain that connects to the NYC subway. LaGuardia Airport is smaller than JFK, but it's also the closest airport to midtown Manhattan. LaGuardia is known as one of the busiest airports in the U.S. with almost 30 million passengers in 2016. Whether you travel by plane or subway, New York City is certainly a destination you'll want to visit again and again.
